What a busy day we have had!!
In maths, a small group worked out how to show the distance each planet was from the Sun by scaling down each measurement. We used the scale 1 metre for every 100,000,000,000 kilometre. We made a table to show our information:Later on in the day, we went outside to mark out where each planet is in relation to the Sun. First, we made a prediction:Then we measured it out using a metre wheel. Click on the video to see how accurate we were:

Excellent work Room 13. What a fun way to learn about the Solar System! Do you know the trick for remembering the order of the planets? "My Very Excellent Memory Stores Up Nine Planets"!!! Although technically there are only 8 planets now....!

I think it was really clever how you worked together to make the Solar system.
It was a lot of fun shrinking the solar system I was Mercury!
