Wearable Arts: Let the fun begin!!

It's Wearable Arts time again! 

This term the students in the Senior School will create an amazing piece of wearable art that will be displayed when they participate in our Wearable Art production “Great Mysteries of the World.”

This is a big project and a lot of planning and construction will need to be completed at home. The booklet below will be given out in class on the first day of Term 3. It contains planning pages, reflection sheets, homework instructions and deadlines. Students need to complete all sections to a high standard and take care not to lose their copy. The completed booklet will need to be handed in on Friday 20th September (after the Wearable Art Performances) for an overall grade for their participation in this year’s Wearable Art performances.

Brain week means brain games!

It's Brain Week!

This week Muritai are celebrating our amazing brains!

We kicked started the week today with fascinating presentation from neuroscientist Pascal Saker.

He talked to us about the different parts of the brain of their functions.

Later on in the day we got together as a team to delve further into the brain. In groups we made a playdough model of the brain, identifying the different parts and shared their functions.
